As TUI expands its summer 2025 schedule, the travel industry is set to experience a significant shift. With a UK fleet of 60 aircraft, TUI has maintained a strong presence in major markets, covering hotspots such as the Canary Islands, the Caribbean, and Egypt. The company, which operates from more than 20 UK airports, is one of the largest tour operators in the country. The latest developments will reshape travel patterns and provide more choices to passengers, ultimately impacting tourism revenues in numerous destinations.
Expanding Connectivity Across the UK
The introduction of direct flights from major UK airports will make travel more convenient for holidaymakers. One of the standout additions is the route from East Midlands Airport—recently refurbished—to Cape Verde. Similarly, Exeter will now offer a year-round service to Lanzarote, while travelers from London-Stansted can fly directly to Enfidha in Tunisia. Increased flight frequencies to popular destinations such as Palma and Paphos further enhance accessibility.
These new and upgraded routes will improve connectivity, offering travelers more direct flights and reducing the need for layovers. This expansion reflects TUI’s commitment to catering to diverse travel interests, including leisure, adventure, and cruise-based tourism.
Boosting Frequencies to Meet Growing Demand
Beyond adding new routes, TUI has significantly increased the frequency of flights on 33 existing routes. As a result, daily flights have been introduced on 13 routes, including key destinations such as:
- Birmingham to Palma
- Bristol to Palma
- East Midlands to Palma
- London-Gatwick to Antalya
- Manchester to Cancun
- Newcastle to Palma
Moreover, several routes will see an increase in weekly flights:
- Aberdeen to Palma (now three times per week)
- Bristol to Paphos (now four times per week)
- Cardiff to Dalaman (now three times per week)
- Manchester to Sharm El Sheikh (now five times per week)
These adjustments will improve flight availability and reduce seasonal limitations, giving passengers more flexibility when planning their holidays.
