A football player from Africa has made his brother attend his wedding ceremony instead of him.
Mohammed Buya Durai, a 27-year-old footballer from the African country of Sierra Leone, has participated in 6 international competitions.
He was playing in Henan Zhongshan Longmen Club, one of the famous football clubs in China, and was recently transferred to Sweden's Melme Football Club. Meanwhile, Durai's wedding date was fixed.
Melmo club management had announced July 21 as the day for the new players joining their club to join the training camp for the qualifying matches of the European clubs. Durai's wedding was also scheduled to take place in Sierra Leone on the same day.
Durai was torn between whether to join the Swedish club, which would be the turning point of his football career, or whether to hold his wedding ceremony as planned. While discussing this with his future wife, Durai and his bride came up with a plan in order to satisfy the members of the Melmo League and not disturb his wedding ceremony. In this regard, Mohammad Buya Durai said, "Before I went to Sweden, we took photos of the wedding in advance, so it looked like I was there even though I did not participate in the ceremony." Durai made his brother participate in the wedding ceremony instead of him. Even after the wedding ceremony, his wife has not met Durai in person. Durai enthusiastically participates in football matches for Melmo Kazhagam. It is notable that the club won 3:0 in his first match for Melmo. He is now actively involved in the process of inviting his wife to Sweden.
