Moscow has warned that relations between the US and Russia could deteriorate beyond repair. There is talk in Washington of declaring Russia a state sponsor of terrorism in connection with the Ukrainian war. Two senators floated that recommendation last month. Latvia's parliament passed the measure earlier this week.
It said European countries should introduce more comprehensive sanctions on Russia. However, Moscow has warned that diplomatic relations between the two countries could be completely broken if Washington tries to isolate Russia and declare it a state sponsor of terrorism.
