According to some reports, Apple plans to start production of the Apple 14 in India two months after its initial production is completed and delivered from China. It is said that many negotiations and plans are going on with the local manufacturers in India for this.
Talking about this, Ming-Chi Ko from TF International Securities Group says that this planning is a long-term strategy of Apple. Apple says it is likely to ship iPhones from almost two countries simultaneously. And it will be a milestone in their plans to expand their business and downsize in China, he says.
According to a person who did not wish to be named, Foxconn, Apple's leading manufacturing company, had previewed in Chennai how to source materials from China and assemble the Apple 14 in India.
But many people predict that it is not possible to export the product from both countries simultaneously, and it will be the end of October or the beginning of November before the finalized product of Apple14 is finished in India. Therefore, there is no possibility of a September release, and they say that the Apple14 release may be planned in India, given Diwali.
No official information has been released from either Apple or Foxconn regarding this. But Redington India Ltd., Apple's distributor in India, rose 9.5% after the news.
This planning will relatively reduce the technology gap between China and India. And this can be said to be a milestone in India's tech industry.
