A stranger attacked a gas station shop in Arbon on Monday evening and stole cash and cigarettes. The Thurgau cantonal police are looking for witnesses.

The perpetrator rode a bicycle at around 9:20 p.m. from the direction of "Aachweiher" to the savings shop on St. Gallerstrasse. In the shop, he threatened the saleswoman with a knife and forced her to open the cash register. A little later, the stranger left the shop with cash and cigarettes and fled by bike.

The employee was not physically injured. The Thurgau cantonal police have started the investigation, and the forensic service secured the evidence at the crime scene.

Signalment

The wanted man is described as about 170 to 175 centimetres tall; he spoke Swiss German. He wore a black mask, grey and black top, gloves, dark pants, black flip-flops and a dark backpack. He was travelling on a blue and black mountain bike.
